Method
- Wash and cook dal in water and salt until tender.
- Heat butter and oil in a pan, add onions. Sauté until light brown. Add the remaining spices and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the dal to the masala and cook for 10 minutes.
- Puree the mixture.
- Add lemon juice before serving.
