| Dhal Malka | 1.0 kg |
| Turmeric | 10 gm |
| Oil | 50 gm |
| Butter | 50 gm |
| Sliced onions | 400 gm |
| Plum tomatoes | 1 tin |
| Garlic paste | 50 gm |
| White pepper | 10 gm |
| Garam masala | 10 gm |
| Curry powder | 20 gm |
| Lemon juice | 2 lemons |
| Cream | 150 ml |
| Water | 3 litres |
| Cream | 150 ml |
Method
- Wash and cook dal in water and salt until tender.
- Heat butter and oil in a pan, add onions. Sauté until light brown. Add the remaining spices and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the dal to the masala and cook for 10 minutes.
- Puree the mixture.
- Add lemon juice before serving.
